Good Interview: Pro-Life Hero Mark Houck
Mark Houck is a pro-life leader persecuted and targeted by a corrupt Justice Department and FBI. He was vindicated in court. Here are links to a good interview that tells what happened.
Below are links to an interview with Mark Houck, a persecuted hero of the pro-life movement that are worth listening to. For those that don’t know the story, the gist of it is as follows…
*Houck was praying the rosary with his 12-year-old son outside a Philadelphia abortion mill. One of the workers at the mill looked to start an altercation.
*When it was over, the worker sought to have charges filed against Houck by local police. The police investigated and declined to press charges.
*That should be the end of the story. But with the current Justice Department out for revenge on their political opponents, especially after the overturning of Roe vs. Wade last June, a federal prosecutor decided to bring charges.
*All of this was bad enough, but even though Houck has no record of violent behavior, and even though he and his lawyer were cooperating with authorities, the FBI sent 30 armed agents to arrest him early in the morning, terrorizing his seven children.
*Charges were filed that could have landed Houck in prison for up to 11 years. Thankfully, a jury saw through this disgrace and acquitted Houck on all charges.
The interview is in the four segments below. These segments run for about 40 minutes and are interspersed with a similar story of persecution from Great Britain. But as outrageous as the FBI’s behavior was, the interview is also worth listening to for its inspirational value. Houck talks about how he had never felt closer to Christ than during his time of trial. He talks about how he was offered a plea deal that could have made most of it go away, and his wife—facing the prospect of raising the seven kids with their father in prison—told him that if he accepted the plea deal to not even think about coming home. Instead, he fought. And justice prevailed.
Mark Houck’s story is absolutely about domestic tyranny and what the FBI has become, particularly under this White House regime. But more than that, it’s a story about God’s not just being with us, but intensifying His presence when we need it most.
