The title of this post tells you what our topic is—we explore the media narratives surounding the removal of Joe Biden this afternoon and the near-murder of Donald Trump eight days ago, and then offer thoughts on the quest for national unity.
But I know we have a lot of great prayer warriors on this list, and I want to ask for your prayers for a fallen soldier. One of our favorite commentators told his audience on Friday that a friend who served our country in the Middle East took his own life a few days ago. I don’t know the name, but if you could add the repose of his soul and the comfort of those he left behind to your prayer intentions tonight.
Above all, let’s stop these Forever Wars. Yes, we want to be strong. And if our country is attacked, then of course self-defense is necessary. But enough is enough. The death toll doesn’t stop, even when the shooting does.
